Meet the breeder

I'm Alina T., the breeder behind Duncan Doodles Goldendoodles located in Ruthorfordton, NC. We are an in-home breeder of Mini, Medium and Standard Goldendoodles. Two year 2-year health guarantee against genetic diseases and hip dysplasia. Puppies are socialized and loved every day!

Q. & A. with Alina

  • Why did you start breeding?

I met the sweetest woman at a pet store one day—and she had the most adorable Goldendoodle by her side. At the time, I had a Standard Poodle who was about to be fixed, but after meeting that Goldendoodle, I completely fell in love with the breed. Back then, Goldendoodle breeders were few and far between, so I decided to raise a single litter using health-tested, AKC-registered parents. I kept one special puppy for myself and placed the others with close friends and family. What started as a one-time experience quickly turned into something much bigger. The demand for my calm, loving pups grew faster than I ever imagined—and the rest is history. 😊
  • What makes your program special?

We officially proudly specialize in just one breed, GOLDENDOODLES— allowing us to give our full attention and expertise to raising exceptional puppies. All of our breeding dogs live in loving guardian homes—never in kennels—and we do not believe in “retiring” or rehoming our dogs once their breeding years are over. Our puppies are whelped and raised right in our home, surrounded by our children and daily family life. Because both my husband and I work from home, we’re able to dedicate the time, attention, and care that each puppy deserves. Every parent dog is health tested, and we stand behind every single puppy we raise. We believe our puppies speak for themselves—and we’re proud of the love, temperament, and quality they bring to their forever families.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, apricot, red, chocolate, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Alina was fantastic from the very beginning. She was responsive, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about her dogs. We adopted Zoey from her, and she has been an absolute joy since day one—healthy, playful, and full of personality. The adoption process was seamless, and Alina made sure we were prepared for everything. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving, well-cared-for puppy.

Ali is amazing and every step in the process with Duncan Doodles was so kind and easy. We were a first time dog family and Ali helped us at every step. We also received frequent videos and photos of the pups when they were born and right up until the day we picked up our boy. And our puppy was delightful- already playful, sweet, smart and well behaved, he is everything we could have hoped. Very clear he was extremely loved in this couple months before he came to us.
