I'm Kosh L., the breeder behind Earthstone Poodle located in Grand Rapids, MI. Small home breeder specializing in healthy, intelligent Moyen/Small Standard Poodles in the 20-30 lb range. Our dogs are all family members with AMAZING personalities! They're also all CHIC-certified to OFA standards - we have health clearances for genetics, diversity, hips, patellas, heart, & eyes!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We wanted to put our passion for Poodles to good use. Breeding healthy, happy puppies is our way to give back to the breed and the families who love them. We want nothing more than to see each of our dogs and puppies shine. We truly love our puppies and know you will, too! We pride ourselves on helping all of our clients find the right fit for their needs and lifestyle.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our love for Poodles is reflected in the personal touch we put into making sure the addition of your new puppy is a joyful experience. We focus on breeding dogs that have enough drive to keep up with our lifestyle, but also have amazing temperaments and can quickly adapt to a calm family setting. Our dogs compliment each other fabulously in regards to their personalities and overall structure.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include miniature, moyen, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, blue, brown, cafe au lait, red, silver, silver-beige, parti, phantom, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kosh

Kosh has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes FULL veterinary examination and health certificate, vaccinations, microchips, health insurance, go-home bag with toys, treats & food, and AKC paperwork. $500 Non-Refundable Deposit that can be transferred to the next litter. If after 2 litters, you don't receive a pup of your choice, it will be refunded.”

Contract & health guarantee

Kosh may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Kosh offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Kosh directly.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 1 (PRA-crd1), DNA Coat/Trait Panel, DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
