I'm Jonathan T., the breeder behind East Bay Golden Retrievers located in Hayward, CA. Our breeding program started with one small litter that turned into a fulfilling, lifelong passion! We believe there’s no greater joy than providing families with companions that share unconditional love no matter what.

Getting a puppy from Jonathan

Jonathan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Jonathan partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $3,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Jonathan may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

    Jonathon and Sophie were great to work with from the very start. We were sent pictures and updates on how the puppies were doing before pickup. This was my first time picking a puppy from Good Dog and I didn't know how things worked. Jonathon was very responsive, helpful and patient with my many questions. We picked up our Seri on Valentine's Day, and it truly was the best valentine I ever got. Seri is so bright, affectionate, curious, playful, and all around adorable little girl. It is has been less than a week and our family cannot imagine a time without her. She slept for 8 hours the first night at our home and every night thereafter, she is so adaptible and easy going but has bright sparkly spirit! At less than 9 weeks old, Seri already learned to sit, stay and go to her place, that is amazing in just a few days. Sophie and Jonathon helped us with lots of puppy information and sent us home with a bag of very important things, like food, toys, probiotics and blanket. We got to meet the Seri's parents and see now where her sparkly personality comes from. Sophie and Jonathon are a wonderful couple and we are so lucky to have gotten our Seri from this loving family.
