I'm Charmain J., the breeder behind ECMO Farm Dalmatians & Labrador Retrievers located in Carlsbad, NM. Our AKC dogs are health tested and our puppies are raised with love in our home and farm. We breed for companionship and temperament. We are breeders who do everything we can to better the breed and ensure our dogs and puppies are able to get the very most out of life. We may have adult dogs avail.

Why did you start breeding?
Our love for Labradors found us wanting to share the amazing family dogs with others, so we began breeding in 2004. In 2016, we added Dalmatians to our family and fell in love with their fun-loving personalities and adventurous stamina, similar to Labradors. Health testing is critical and doing so allows us to share puppies that are healthy and happy with others.What makes your program special?
We raise our puppies in our home full of love and cuddles. They are socialized with our children, dogs, and farm animals. We believe in health tested parents & we are part of AKC Bred with Heart program. All ECMO Farm puppies are raised using Puppy Culture protocols to grow confident, healthy, well-rounded companions for families to enjoy for years to come.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Dalmatian puppies include white and liver brown and white and black. Labrador Retriever puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Charmain has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Labradors are $1200, Dalmatians are $2000 Puppies: AKC registration microchip vaccines deworming BAER hearing for Dals vet visit, puppy pack health guarantee socialization for a well rounded puppy! After we approve of your puppy application, we require a nonrefundable holding fee of $300 to secure your puppy. Puppy picks are based upon the order the nonrefundable holding fee is received.”

Charmain may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA), Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Profile, Animal Genetics Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

We are so in love with our new puppy! Charmain was very responsive, kept us updated about our puppy’s development (including photos and videos) and answered all of our questions! My wife and I waited 2 years to get another Dalmatian because we knew we would be relocating. We responded to Facebook ads, rescues and even local shelters. Nothing worked out. I saw the Gooddogs ad and responded. They put me in touch with Charmain. She had a liver male which is what we were looking for. Charmain sent photos of “Camaro”. She answered all of our questions absent us a video she took just for us. We purchased “Camaro”, now Simon. Everything went as she had explained. Throughout the process, she stayed in touch, offered Facetime sessions with the puppies and sent us lots of photos and updates of the entire litter as they grew.
