I'm Stephen W., the breeder behind Edelweiss Berger Blanc Suisse located in Ooltewah, TN. We are in love with the looks and temperament of this breed for families and farm life. More specifically we are snobs, preferring greatly the long haired version of this breed. We are involved in this primarily for the personal joy it brings to our family and the want to share that joy with others.
Q. & A. with Stephen
Why did you start breeding?
I fell in love with the looks and then the character of this dog and decided to make it a part of my families life for the purpose of enriching my life and my kids life and ultimately for those who will receive these amazing pups.
What makes your program special?
Our pups interact and are around all types of farm animals and since my kids are 11, 9 and 6 and this is our first litter they are handled daily. They have all been potty trained and go to the bathroom outside. Also, because this is our first litter and it took me longer to get them on good dog I have had extra time with these pups and they are now learning basic commands of sit, stay and come.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Toby, dad
Berger Blanc Suisse
About Toby
Toby is 2 years old, laid back and loving. He is calm and tolerant of his puppies and sticks with you when off leash. He is a people person. His face is broad and very handsome. All of his pigmentations around his face are solid black and his hair is long which is a big preference for me when I was picking him out.
Ollie, mom
Berger Blanc Suisse
About Ollie
Ollie is 3 years old, loving and affectionate, if she can be with you always she will be. She has more energy than dad and enjoys running. She is really fast. I've clocked her at 25 mph which is the fastest our farm side by side will go. She listens to commands well and is eager to please. She does well with positive affirmation / rewards as opposed to negative direction (example - yelling no) Makes her sink back and really hurts her feelings. Rewarding positive behavior is always better for dogs but this is especially true with Ollie. She has a sweet tender spirit.
Parent health testing
Edelweiss Berger Blanc Suisse reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Berger Blanc Suisses.
