Q. & A. with Tiffany

  • Why did you start breeding?

Before diving into the world of breeding, I embarked on an extensive research journey. I devoured books, scoured online forums, and connected with experienced breeders in order to gain more knowledge. My goal was clear: I wanted to do it right. Breeding isn’t just about creating adorable puppies; it’s about ensuring their health, well-being, and positive impact on future families. I began to learn more about genetics. I delved into the intricacies of coat colors, temperament, and health traits. I learned about dominant and recessive genes, hereditary diseases, and the importance of responsible breeding practices. Armed with knowledge, I was ready to make informed decisions. I looked into pairing practices. Being able to pair the right dogs felt like an art. I had to consider temperament, health history, and compatibility. I worked with and observed each fur baby that joined our family to determine if they would be a perfect match. I then envisioned happy families welcoming these pups into their homes, and that vision fueled my determination. My commitment extended far beyond birth. I ensured optimal prenatal care for my expectant mothers, monitored their progress, and have celebrated each ultrasound glimpse of tiny hearts beating. Post-birth, I watched over the puppies, ensuring they thrived—nurtured by their mother’s love and our dedicated care. As the puppies grew, so did my excitement. I interviewed potential families, seeking those who understood the responsibility of pet ownership. I wanted each Goldendoodle to find a loving home—a place where tail wags, belly rubs, and playful antics would fill the days. I also wanted each new family to know that they would forever be a part of what we created, the Edmond Doodles family. I wanted ensure them that our commitment extended beyond the puppies gotcha days. And then came the magical moment—the day the puppies found their forever families. Watching them leave, tails wagging, is bittersweet. I would miss them dearly but these precious puppies would bring joy, companionship, and unconditional love to their new homes. Breeding isn’t just a business; it’s a labor of love. It’s sleepless nights, puppy kisses, lots of learning, and the thrill of seeing a lineage continue. So, if you ever meet one of my Goldendoodles, know that they carry a piece of my heart—a testament to my dedication and the beauty of this remarkable breed.

We adopted two pups from Tiffany and the experience was outstanding. Communication was timely and transparent, our questions were always welcomed, and they shared detailed, easy-to-follow advice that helped us settle in at home. The transition was smooth because they genuinely care about their dogs and the families they go to. We’re grateful and would happily work with them again.

Tiffany was so great through the entire process! We are first time dog owners so we had tons of questions and Tiffany was always there to answer them. She truly loves each and every one of them and always loves any updates that we share with her.

When we realized we needed to put our 5-year-old goldendoodle, Dixie down, we were heartbroken. My 11-year-old daughter had never experienced death before and was unsure how to cope. Dixie was her best friend, and it was incomprehensible to her that Dixie wouldn't be coming home from the vet. To comfort her (and ourselves), we started looking at puppy pictures, which led us to consider getting another dog. We loved the goldendoodle breed and began searching for breeders in Oklahoma. That's when we found GoodDog and our Angel-on-Earth, Tiffany with Edmond Doodles. Her dogs, Max and Dixie, had just had a litter of adorable goldendoodle puppies! We asked if we could meet the litter, and Tiffany immediately invited us over. Her house was only 15 minutes away, and we fell in love with all the puppies, especially one we named Hazel. Tiffany was incredibly patient and kind, answering all our questions. We were still grieving Dixie, and when we learned that Hazel's mom was also named Dixie, it felt like fate had brought us together. Over the next week, Tiffany answered my numerous texts quickly and wholeheartedly. She consistently sent us pictures of Hazel and even created a video of Hazel in a birthday hat with a toy cake for my daughter's birthday, singing "Happy Birthday" from Hazel. This was how we surprised our daughter with the news that Hazel would be coming home soon. On the day we were supposed to visit Hazel again, Tiffany surprised my daughter by telling her she could bring Hazel home that day. I've never seen such a big smile on my daughter's face. Tiffany helped our family heal, and Hazel has brought joy back into our home. Thank you, Tiffany, for your breeding skills, communication, and kind spirit. We are in love with Hazel and couldn't be happier.

Tiffany at Edmond Doodles was fantastic to work with in finding our new puppy Theodore. We were unsure of how to go about finding a reliable, responsible, careful and loving breeder as this was our first time finding a dog through a breeder versus rescuing one. Tiffany was super responsive and answered any question we had and made us feel at ease with the process. She loves her dogs and all the puppies that she has had with them. We could not have been happier with her and know we have made a lifelong friend in her now that Theodore is part of our family. Thank you, Tiffany!
