Why did you start breeding?
a couple years ago we found our Penelope and she was truly meant to be ours and choose us that day we picked her! Penelope has been different than any dog we've ever had and we got so many compliments and requests from family and friends to breed her we spent the next couple years researching and learning and falling more in love with the idea of sharing her with as many families as we could!What makes your program special?
We focus more on personality and temperament matching for placement. The dog you find the prettiest isn't always the best match for your family, we want all our puppies well matched for a truly forever home and by waiting till after 6 weeks old for choosing we can match families with the pup that best meets their needs. Our puppies longterm happiness and well being is the primary concern!What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include mini and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chocolate merle, black, tri-color, phantom, blue merle, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Alexis
Alexis has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Alexis partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“We take great care to match our puppies with their perfect forever family. Puppies are matched after 6 weeks as personalities and temperaments become apparent. We ask for a list of desired traits and typically have many conversations about what you are looking for and then allow you to either meet them in person or by FaceTime so that we can decide together why which puppy would be the best fit for you. ”
Price
“Price includes first 2 rounds of vaccinations, 1 year health guarantee, and puppy go home kit. Deposit secures choosing spot in a litter and is non-refundable. Transfers to another litter may be accepted 1 time under very specific circumstances.”

DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
