I'm Caroline D., the breeder behind Elk Ridge Corgis located in Washougal, WA. We raise our litters in our home, with early training and stimulation to help set the foundation for happy and confident puppies who transition well into their forever homes. It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to raise your new best friend and give them the best start in life.
Q. & A. with Caroline
Why did you start breeding?
My parents raised English Labradors while I was growing up. And the best reward was seeing the puppy families experience so much joy with the puppies we poured our time and efforts into raising well. Once I got my first Corgi I was hooked and I thoroughly enjoy building a program that produces high quality, healthy, loyal family pets!
What makes your program special?
We use the Puppy Culture Method of ENS (early neurological stimulation) exercises from birth until they go home, along with socialization and litter box training to give our puppies the best possible start in life. This helps develop the pups mental and sensory abilities and reactions to stress and scenarios that cause stress, equipping them to be better adjusted and confident as they mature.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies include blue and black and tan. American Corgi puppies are blue merle and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
