I'm Teresa M., the breeder behind ElkCreek Golden Retrievers located in Texas. At ElkCreek Golden Retrievers we have owned and loved Golden Retrievers for over 25 years. We are also involved in the conformation show ring and know what is involved in producing Golden Retrievers with correct temperament, structure, and health clearances.
Q. & A. with Teresa
Why did you start breeding?
When our beloved golden died at the age of 8 from prostate cancer, we began an in-depth search for the necessary breeding practices that would increase the quality and quantity of life for this gentle breed.
What makes your program special?
We are proud members of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex Golden Retriever Club and the Golden Retriever Club of America. In our local club, I serve on the board as Recording Secretary and was the March Specialty Chair for 2017.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
