Q. & A. with JoAn

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have loved dogs all my life, and when I found a labradoodle, I decided that was the breed for me. I have spent over 11 years, learning and being trained to be the best home based breeder I can be. I love learning new and better ways to help these dogs be wonderful. I am breeding to better the breed and follow the breeding standards of the ALAA and WALA.
  • What makes your program special?

We do early neuro-stimulation, early potty training and basic training, a lot of social interaction and experiences for these puppies with sound, texture, baths, playing, etc. The puppies have their personality evaluated at 7 weeks and their structure evaluated at 8 weeks. They are loved, hugged, played with and live in our home with us.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include caramel, caramel red, red, apricot, chocolate, cafe, lavendar, parchment, black, silver, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

JoAn was wonderful to work with, and so helpful in making the difficult decision on which pup is right for us. She even met us halfway between Utah and Arizona to help ease the burden of travel! When we met George (formerly Steel) we knew we were in love immediately. He is so cute, sweet, and cuddly, not mention very smart, trainable, and people oriented. He has been such a joy to have and has really blossomed since we brought him all the way home to Michigan. We look forward to his growth and maturity coming through in the coming months and years! We plan to enter him into therapy school, so we can bring him to senior centers for visits. Thank you again!!!
