I'm Ty G., the breeder behind Ember Skies Doodles located in Nampa, ID. We are a family that love dogs! We've had numerous dogs in the past from a fluffy pekingese to labradors. However, we fell in love with the sweet and affectionate nature of the Bernese Mountain Dog. Meet Suki! She is our family dog. She is AKC and OFA certified, and health tested. She was born in Idaho and has been with our family for 3 years, since she was 12 weeks old. Suki is a traditional Bernese through and through from her beautiful tri-color coat to her warm and goofy personality. More importantly, she embodies all the traits of a best friend - unconditionally loyal, kind, and loving. Why doodles? Poodles are low shedding and intelligent breeds. If you want a dog without the shedding but the gentle affectionate nature of a Bernese Mountain Dog, a Bernedoodle is perfect for you!

Why did you start breeding?
Our dog, Suki, is the reason why we started breeding. We got her when she was a puppy and she has been raised in our home ever since. She is the perfect family dog. We wanted to offer other families the same companion without any of the health or temperament surprises.What makes your program special?
We only breed parents that have been health tested with sound genetics. We practice puppy culture including early neurological stimulation, puppy manding, and early socialization. Puppies are surrounded by love from day one.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include mini, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Litter update on 12 July •…A closer look at Stella’s sectoral heterochromia eyes 👀. Her left eye has two different colors - blue and brown. The right eye is a honey brown. Harmless but very distinct trait. She’s such a good girl.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type, von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
