I'm Anthony & Angela V., the breeder behind Excelsior Standards Poodles located in Sacramento, CA. Our breeding program started with one standard poodle named Harry and then his bride Meggy that turned into a fulfilling, lifelong passion! We believe there’s no greater joy than providing families with companions that share unconditional love no matter what.
Q. & A. with Anthony & Angela
Why did you start breeding?
We have experienced first hand how a service dog can transform one's life. Knowing how hard it can be for people to obtain a service dog, as well as financially afford one, has only sparked a passion for raising service dog prospects while making them more accessible for people who need them.
What makes your program special?
With our passion for those requiring service dogs, comes our promise to donate a puppy from every litter to our partners who aid in training and placing service dogs. Puppies who are not placed in service dog programs will benefit from the many different exercises our puppies experience.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, blue, cream, white, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
