I'm Heather W., the breeder behind Faithful Hearts Kennel located in Blanch, NC. We’re excited to be able to help others know the joy of owning these wonder breeds! We are dedicated to always providing our buyers and our puppies with a positive experience, which includes remaining committed to responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming our puppies.

Q. & A. with Heather

  • Why did you start breeding?

I purchased my first Toy Poodle 15 years ago. I want to share the joy I received from her with others by providing quality dogs and puppies for others to love and experience the same!
  • What makes your program special?

Hours are spent socializing and early training to build confident, calm puppies! They go on car rides to pet friendly places, they love going on hikes and playing in my huge backyard. The parents are carefully screened for any health issues that could pass down to the puppies. Puppies are used to a variety of sights, sounds and smells to help them face the big world with confidence!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Poodle puppies include toy and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Havanese puppies include black and white, white, cream, gold, red, black, and fawn sable. Havapoo puppies include chocolate and white, chocolate, white, cream, gold, black, and apricot. Poodle puppies include apricot, black, blue, brown, cream, red, and silver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Recently purchased two havapoo puppies - one from Faithful Hearts Kennel and one from another breeder online. The puppy I purchased from Heather is heads and tails above the other breeder. Both were easily purchased, but the follow up with Heather was exceptional. Her puppy was just about house-broken, very well socialized, just healthier in general. The other puppy came with a double ear infection and Giardia. Heather's little boy doesn't have any health issues (so far) and eats well. The only "bad" thing is he gets hiccups after every meal - not sure if he eats too fast or a little too much - will check with the vet at his next visit. Her attention to detail is amazing. She keeps in contact with you even after the sale. With the other puppy, I never even saw what his parents looked like - so he could have been a product of a puppy mill. Please be careful when purchasing puppies from brokers other than Good Dog. Heather provided pictures and videos along the way to show what he was actually growing into and to show the environment in which he was raised. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another puppy from Faithful Hearts Kennel - it was an amazing experience!!

Heather was professional, responsive, and super easy to work with. Most of all, I could tell right away that Heather raised Milo (and his parents and siblings) with so much love. He adjusted to his new home easily and is such a sweet and happy boy!

Heather was very responsive to all of my questions and was so easy to work with. Heather and her lovely family met me directly at the airport with our new toy poodle who we named Lola (nee Connie). Lola looked super clean, well groomed, and cared for. Heather provided me with all of the pup's paperwork, a blanket from mom, and a bag of food, goodies, and coupons. Lola was deemed a healthy little girl at her 1st vet appointment back home and we couldn't love her more. Thank you very much, Heather!

Heather at Faithful Hearts has been wonderful to work with from the very beginning. Before we had even reserved a puppy, she took the time to answer all of our questions about the Havapoo breed and helped us feel confident in our decision. Once we saw Benji (now Disco), we knew he was the one. Throughout the waiting period, Heather was always quick to respond to questions and provided detailed, thoughtful answers. Even after we brought Disco home, she continued to be available and supportive whenever we needed guidance. One of the highlights of our experience was getting to meet Heather, Disco, his littermates, and his mother, Hope. It was clear how much care and attention she puts into raising her puppies. Disco came home beautifully socialized and comfortable with handling, different sounds, and new environments. The foundation she gave him has made his transition into our family incredibly smooth. The information packet she sent home with us was fantastic and full of valuable resources and guidance. We referred to it constantly during those first days. Most importantly, Disco has an absolutely wonderful disposition. He is everything we hoped for and more. We couldn't be happier with our experience and would not hesitate to get another puppy from Heather in the future. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a well-raised, loved, and thoughtfully socialized puppy.

Heather was very responsive to all of my questions. She was very kind to my and my husbands situation reguarding the tragic loss of our beloved toy poodle Suzie-Q. Heather and her husband met us at an area we both agreed on prior to getting our new toy poodle puppy. Her new name is Lily. She is a top notch breeder of poodles. Lily is precious healthy happy and playful, very smart also. I would highly recommend her as a excellent breeder of poodles.

I had a wonderful experience talking with Heather about getting my dog, Violet. She was incredibly kind, patient, and thoughtful throughout the whole process. You can tell she truly cares—not just about the dogs, but also about finding the right match. Everything went smoothly, and I’m so grateful for her support. Thank you, Heather!
