Meet the breeder

I'm Amy H., the breeder behind Feathers on the Wind Farm located in Sanford, NC. We discovered the European lines of the English Springer Spaniel and fell in love with their super laid back temperaments and ticking. We believe strongly in participating in shows to get outside opinions on our dogs. We are taking a break and our next litter will be Spring 2027 at the earliest.

Q. & A. with Amy

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got my first springer in the late 80s and fell in love with the breed. Sharing this incredible breed with other people has always been a dream that I am now in a position to realize.
  • What makes your program special?

We focus on breeding to the breed standard in color, structure and temperament. Our dogs live with us and are part of our family. Building relationships with our puppy homes beyond pickup is important to us. Our puppies will get a great start with early socialization protocols. We will have a FaceBook group for litters so we can keep up with the puppies and their families can connect with each other
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include liver white and tan and liver and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
