Pride and Coffeecake have a litter of 9 brindle Anatolian puppies born 3/10/2026. Working parents guard sheep and chickens.

About Coffeecake
Coffeecake is a new addition to the farm. She is registrable but we haven’t registered her. She has working grandparents but parents were both city dogs. Her brindle cooking comes from both parents. Coffeecake is a sensitive livestock guard dog. She is doing great with sheep and people. She raises her hackles and barks at strangers but welcomes friends. She’s great with the grandkids. She is easily contained, even with a 3’ hog panel. She’s just a perfect lady. She is serious about her guard duty and we don’t always see what she is barking at. She’s fine with the other animals but doesn’t like the mini Aussies or cats being in with ewes who have new lambs. To our knowledge she’s never gone off our farm, even though some fencing is just barbed wire.
Anatolian Shepherd Dog
About Pride
Pride is 7/8 Anatolian and 1/8 Pyrenees. He is the result of 3 generations of breeding our own livestock guard dogs, for our own use. Pride has been a part of protecting our sheep and chickens from mountain lions, an occasional bear, coyotes, bobcats, foxes, raccoons and skunks. He doesn’t want strangers getting out of their vehicle until we come out and greet them. If we are suspicious of a stranger he lays down by us and growls at them. He lets the grandkids wrestle with him and flip him over or hold him down. He might love the grandkids the most! He is very obedient. As an lgd he won’t touch a dead anything but will carefully stay with a wounded sheep until we notice. His quirk is he won’t stay in a sheep pen but he also won’t wonder of our property unless he’s pursuing a predator.
