I'm Conrad B., the breeder behind Fields of Gold Retrievers located in Greensburg, PA. I am a certified obedience and therapy trainer, and work with a local therapy dog association. I work with the adult dogs at Fields of Gold, providing exercise and training. Sherlyn cares for the puppies with ENS treatment and careful monitoring of their general health and records.

Why did you start breeding?
I grew up with a Golden Retriever named Fred, and knew Goldens were the dog for me. Soon after Sherlyn and I were married, we bought a Golden Retriever puppy named Ora. She was our family pet and the mother of our first puppies. Our Golden family has grown in the years since then, and now includes all the beautiful Golden shades, from cream to chestnut, as well as superior European bloodlines.What makes your program special?
Our kennel is small and dedicated; focused on good bloodlines, training, and excellent communication with customers. We have a great relationship with our local vet and animal hospitals, as well as local training and therapy opportunities connected to Conrad's work. We are not part-time. We devote our whole attention to our kennel and the welfare of our dogs and puppies.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
Getting a puppy from Conrad
Conrad has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Conrad partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“We prioritize each family finding the puppy that is just right for them. Each family will get a chance to choose their puppy, in the order that they have given deposits on the litter.”
Price
“Your puppy will come with a certificate of health from the veterinarian, as well as its first shots and rounds of wormer. We will also provide a one-year health guarantee against genetic illnesses. All of our puppies come with limited registration. The $500 deposit will be part of the final cost of $3500.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
