I'm Marshall F., the breeder behind Fieldstone Bird Dog Kennels / West Coast Brittany’s located in Hayward, CA. We are small hobby breeders that breed, raise and train AKC registered Classic American Brittany Bird Dogs. We believe In a strict breeding program, with the focus on health and temperament. Our goal Is to find a balance between strong “show” lines and Brittany’s that come from strong “hunting” lines. We wish to provide Brittany’s that demonstrate classic marking, with the classic characteristics of the American bird dog, with a temperament suited for family life with young children.
All of our Brittany’s live In our home and belong to the various children and grandchildren In our family. We believe that we have a moral obligation to provide a safe, fulfilling life filled with love for all animals In our care. In return they give us a life time of unconditional love and loyalty. We provide a formal health care program for all our Brittany’s. I can’t even imagine a life without them.
Q. & A. with Marshall
Why did you start breeding?
I've had hands on experience with dogs my entire life and knew growing up I'd end up working with animals. I have been involved with hunting breeds for over three decade. I absolutely love what I do, it has it's moments to of joy and heartbreak but there is no better feeling then placing one of our pups into a forever home and seeing the updates and love our dogs bring to our families!
What makes your program special?
We take a hands on approach when breeding, health is our first goal here! Our puppies are extensively socialized prior to coming home. Our dogs are more then "dogs" They're all members of our family first and foremost. We all contribute to the success of each puppy as a family here at Fieldstone Bird Dog Kennels.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include orange roan, liver and white, and orange and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
