I'm Craig L., the breeder behind Firebrand Cane Corso located in Kalispell, MT. Our puppies are bred for solid, stable temperament, outstanding health, and reliable workability. We take great pride in our dogs. At Firebrand Cane Corso, our primary overall goal is to do our part to maintain and preserve the integrity of the Cane Corso breed. All of our breeding dogs are health tested, and our breeding matchups are planned to produce the best representations of what the breed is meant to be.
Q. & A. with Craig
Why did you start breeding?
After befriending, mentoring under and learning from some very reputable, established breeders, we made our decision to move forward with producing the best representations of what the breed is supposed to be. We found our first female that fit the parameters of what we wanted to work with, and she set the foundation for our program and what we wanted to stand for and represent.
What makes your program special?
The Cane Corso is a working breed that should possess certain characteristics that make it capable of carrying out specific tasks which it was originally designed for. With the popularity of the breed in recent years, these traits have been reduced to a fraction of what they once were, which affects the overall integrity of the breed. Those are the traits and characteristics we focus on.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chestnut brindle, black, black brindle, fawn, gray, and gray brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
