Meet the breeder

I'm Jill D., the breeder behind ForestHillsHavanese located in Ada, MI. We are lifelong dog enthusiasts, and we’re excited to share our passion and purpose with others through our breeding program. Our dogs stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Breeding was a natural next step and we haven’t looked back since!

Q. & A. with Jill

  • Why did you start breeding?

I breed healthy dogs with a good pedigree. I think it is a good experience for my kids to see mammals give birth and give milk to their young. I love the Havanese breed and stand behind this breed with all my heart.
  • What makes your program special?

We have a male dog from Hungary. Diversity in our lines.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include chocolate sable and chocolate brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

This was our family's first time working with a breeder, and it was such a pleasure working with Jill from ForestHillsHavanese! She took the time to FaceTime with us and help us choose the right puppy for our family, and gave us all the information we could possibly need to be prepared. Her family is so sweet, and her puppies are clearly loved and cared for. We're so happy with the puppy we purchased from her.
