I'm Julius & Melanie C., the breeder behind Fortune Star Ultimate K9s located in Thaxton, VA. We are a passionate and dedicated breeding program that produces dogs with great working drives, conformation, and temperaments. Cane Corso are an incredible breed, and we decided to start our breeding program in order to preserve the wonderful qualities we found in our dogs. They excel both in their work and as companions. We are dedicated to improving our lines with each generation so that the breed will continue to thrive for a long time to come.

Why did you start breeding?
We started our dog journey in 2010 and started our breeding program shortly after in 2013. We started with a pair that made us fall in love with the Corso breed and have not stopped. We have dedicated our time to trying to improve the breed and make sound dogs that can also preform a job.What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is a little different because we are trainers first. We dedicate a lot of time to our litters by socializing and environmental stimulations. We try to pair each puppy to their new parents based on the puppys needs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Julius & Melanie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The prices for our puppies depends on if you are seeking a companion (pet only) typical price with ear cropping $2000-$3000 or a breeding prospect typical price with ear cropping is $4000- $5000 (title and health requirements before breeding rights released). Pricing also depends upon if we breed in-house or outsource for breeding. We also sometimes have dogs for adoption (1 year+), typical price is $1000-$1850 (spayed/neutered). Deposits received will be deducted from the balance of the puppy. Ear cropping is included in pricing!!! Transportation is NOT included in the cost. We offer transportation at an additional cost. You can pick up your puppy or set up a 3rd party transportation service.”

Litter update on 19 Sept. •…Hello!!! We will be 6 weeks old tomorrow!! Wow how time is flying. We are having so much fun with our 🧸 toys! We are learning new sounds and surfaces. We are eating food and doing pretty good with our potty area. 😋 we love cuddles and I think some of us will turn out to be "huggers" like our grandma Hope (🤣). Litter update on 15 Sept. •…We are growing so fast!! We started the potty boxes this weekend, added more toys, started the "noise" training, got new toys and got a raised bed. We are now eating 4 times a day and a little nursing still from mom. We will be weaning fully this week. 😊🐾🐾

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
