I'm Timothy F., the breeder behind Foxfurewe Corgis located in Ovid, NY. My breeding program is very small. Currently I have just two females. My goal is to breed Pembroke Welch Corgi puppies that reach the highest level in health, temperament, and conformation. One way I do this is through extensive genetic testing, and OFA hip/eye evaluations on all my breeding stock.
Q. & A. with Timothy
Why did you start breeding?
I always loved Pembroke Welsh Coris. And have worked with animals all my life. I saw there was a need for breeders who care deeply about the genetic health, temperament, and conformation of their puppies to produce the next generation of healthy dogs!
What makes your program special?
First my breeding program is very small. I only have about 1 litter a year So I am able to put the time into insuring that each of my puppies receives the care it needs.
Next I extensively test all my breeding stock for genetic health. That is why every puppy is guaranteed to be clear for DM, EiC, PRA, & vWD. (4 genetic conditions PWC's are susceptible to) I also have done OFA evaluations including hip and eye tests. Unfortunately there are not many Pembroke breeders who perform these tests. I have received the Bred with H.E.A.R.T certification from the AKC in recognition of the care and concern I put into breeding quality puppies.
Every puppy comes with a health guarantee, a veterinarians health certificate & up-to-date vaccinations.
I also provide my customers with pre-registration in the A.K.C. I also provide an incredible package that includes lifetime registration of a micro-chip in A.K.C.'s reunite program, lifetime availability of A.K.C Good dog training program, and a subscription to A.K.C. Family Dog. (an award winning magazine) The puppies also come with 30 days of free health insurance, as well as a free vet visit at over 3,000 recognized clinics in the U.S.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are white and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
