I'm Kayla F., the breeder behind Franklin Farm Collies located in Marshall, NC. We offer quality Old Time Scotch Collies who are ready to be farm and family companions We take great pride in our dogs and pups. Our dogs are bred for temperament and work ethic. Our goal is to provide an intuitive farm helper and family dog. Our dogs excel at vermin hunting, companions, and farm chore partners. Scotch collies are intelligent and loving dogs. Moderately driven they need stimulation and brain exercise. They love to please their owners and are biddable, but also good thinkers on their own.
Q. & A. with Kayla
Why did you start breeding?
I’m committed to keeping good working sense in the Scotch Collie and providing solid and stable dogs for people to enjoy having on their farms and with their families.
What makes your program special?
My main goal has been to preserve the working instinct of the original family farm dog. A dog you’d want by your side, ready to help at a moment's notice, but also content to watch over the place. Ready for action, but not anxious or bouncing off the walls.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
