Meet the breeder

I'm Tami B., the breeder behind Freedom Retrievers located in Blaine, WA. We offer top-quality goldens, ready to train for service and support or to be your next family member. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament. We begin loving and training before birth by caring for mom. Our littles undergo intentional interactions and stimuli to prepare them for new homes.

Q. & A. with Tami

  • Why did you start breeding?

I recently got back into breeding with these beautiful English Creams. I finally felt like I had the place and space to do it well, and give my dogs space to run and play. I want to provide healthy, happy, and well-adjusted puppies to families prepared to invest both the quality time to provide a loving forever home and the finances required of a dog.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are loved and handled daily. They receive exceptional care, beginning well before birth, through the nurturing of their mom. We love on and care for those little bodies from birth, right till the day they come to live in your home, and beyond. As part of the Freedom Family, we will be available to answer questions that arise as these puppies wiggle and kiss their way into your hearts.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Tami and her family are amazing and I strongly recommend Freedom Retrievers. From the care of the pups to the excellent communication, it has been a wonderful overall experience. The better you can define the personality type of the pup you are looking for beforehand the more likely Tami will be able to help you find your pup. “Keeper” is exactly what I was looking for … smart, playful, affectionate and already a great little companion.

Tami was amazing to work with! She kept us updated constantly throughout mom's pregnancy, during birth and while we anxiously awaited for our puppy to come home. From meeting the puppies, to picking the right one, to bringing ours home... everything went completely smoothly. We were so grateful for the transparency around everything and clear, organized paperwork. The home and property that the dogs are raised on is clean, orderly and warm. We definitely felt that our sweet dog came from a very loving, ethically-raised environment, which was important to us. We loved meeting his mom and seeing her temperament before we brought him home with us. He is sweet as can be and has wonderful breeding, with no health problems at all. We could not be happier to have had this experience and this wonderful dog in our family!
