I'm Angelia S., the breeder behind Legacy English Shepherds & AKC Toy Poodles located in Niota, TN. I got my first poodle in 2001. They are the companion breed that fit our lifestyle because my son had allergies & they are so easy to train. In 2012 I got my First English Shepherd, best farm dogs & livestock guards we ever had. We breed to preserve the breed & traditional working traits.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I decided to start breeding because I personally had a hard time finding toy poodles in my area and good working trait bred farm dogs. I love to train dogs, but I only enjoy training dogs that are easy to train. The brain of my dogs is just as important as their looks! Many breeders ignore trainability, but to me it's the best trait to be preserved for the future of both breeds.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our dogs aren't just here to make other dogs. Our Toy Poodles and our English Shepherds have purpose. They are ALL trained & evaluated for temperament. Many breeders only focus on the outer traits today. A well bred dog selected for trainability has the capacity to learn things so living with them is easy! Selection for trainability, temperament & working traits for the ES is a priority

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are toy size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, brown, red, parti, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Angelia

Angelia has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Angelia partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Our toy poodles are very even in temperament. Buyers pick their own puppy once application is filled out and approved. Our English Shepherds are trait bred as working, highly trainable dogs for farm jobs. Buyers may pick their own puppy but If you want an English Shepherd as a companion/house dog, not a working farm dog please let me know and I will give your puppy a start with house training. ”

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $800 - $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes registration paperwork, socialization, deworming, first grooming, vaccinations and a puppy pack with food and other items. To hold the perfect puppy of your choice until pick up can be arranged! If you are traveling to us we have an airbnb available to rent for a discount to puppy buyers.”

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Coat/Trait Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
