I'm Heather K., the breeder behind Future Hope Goldens located in Centerburg, OH. Our dogs are members of our family, first and foremost. We offer top-quality Golden Retriever puppies from our loving home to yours! We complete various health tests prior to breeding and we breed for quality, not quantity. We raise our puppies using the Puppy Culture method, which is a program that enriches the puppies lives, socializes them, trains them, and just makes them overall amazing dogs. We ensure they are socialized, healthy, and prepared to excel in their furever homes. Our dogs are bred for those specifics, and we want to make sure that we live up to those standards.
Q. & A. with Heather
Why did you start breeding?
We have absolutely loved every part of our breeding journey. We got our first Golden Retriever in 2005. Shortly after, we started fostering dogs through a local rescue. After years of fostering we decided to raise service dogs through Canine Companions for Independence. After raising two service dogs and losing our sweet Golden we decided that we wanted to get a purebred Golden Retriever to possibly breed, but mostly as a pet. That is when our precious Blossom came into our lives. We have never regretted that decision. She is such a sweetheart and an awesome mom. We love breeding and learning more every litter. We are so happy that we have this honor of breeding amazing puppies. We are passionate about the well-being of our pups and have built that love and respect for good breeding practices into every aspect of our program. It's our goal to find our puppies homes that will love them just as much as we do.
What makes your program special?
Our commitment is to provide you with a professional and friendly puppy-buying experience; and that includes always having responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and finding the best homes for our puppies. Our puppies live in our home with our family. We homeschool and so are able to be with our puppies around the clock. They have the opportunity to interact with many people as well as learn normal household noise and activity. We litter train our puppies as well as giving them a start on some basic training. We send videos and pictures throughout the development of the litter and give on-going follow-up support to our puppy families. We love each and every puppy.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are dark golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

As a first time Golden Retriever owner, I cannot recommend Heather and Caris more. They are so responsive and knowledgeable about their pups, and incredibly ethical — three qualities that rarely go together. I’ve had my puppy, Sullivan, for almost a few months now, and WOW, is he such an amazing dog already! When I picked him up, he was basically crate and potty trained, due to Heather and Caris’s early crate and litter box training. Sully is incredibly loving, smart, and friendly. They just do so much to prepare these pups for a great life. Check out their biography; it’s very detailed and informative. You won’t be disappointed!
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
