I'm Heather K., the breeder behind Future Hope Goldens located in Centerburg, OH. Our dogs are members of our family, first and foremost. We offer top-quality Golden Retriever puppies from our loving home to yours! We complete various health tests prior to breeding and we breed for quality, not quantity. We raise our puppies using the Puppy Culture method, which is a program that enriches the puppies lives, socializes them, trains them, and just makes them overall amazing dogs. We ensure they are socialized, healthy, and prepared to excel in their furever homes. Our dogs are bred for those specifics, and we want to make sure that we live up to those standards.

Heather has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Heather partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“We let people choose their own puppies, but with a lot of input from us regarding personalities and input from temperament testing. ”

“Our puppy price includes their first set of vaccinations, deworming, health guarantee, microchip, and go-home bundle. All of our limited registration puppies are the same price despite size, gender, and color. We do offer full registration in select circumstances for a higher price.”
Heather may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Heather offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Heather directly.

Heather and Caris are amazing!! Their love of dogs really shows in all the care they take in breeding happy, healthy puppies. My wife and I really appreciate all the follow up they do are we picked up our pup.

As a first time Golden Retriever owner, I cannot recommend Heather and Caris more. They are so responsive and knowledgeable about their pups, and incredibly ethical — three qualities that rarely go together. I’ve had my puppy, Sullivan, for almost a few months now, and WOW, is he such an amazing dog already! When I picked him up, he was basically crate and potty trained, due to Heather and Caris’s early crate and litter box training. Sully is incredibly loving, smart, and friendly. They just do so much to prepare these pups for a great life. Check out their biography; it’s very detailed and informative. You won’t be disappointed!

Future Hope Goldens in Ohio has been an exceptional breeder to work with, and the experience from start to finish far exceeded expectations. Heather and Caris’s communication was clear, timely, and caring at every step, and it was obvious how much knowledge and heart they bring to raising Golden Retrievers as cherished family companions. The puppies are raised in a true home environment, using structured socialization methods that focus on confidence, resilience, and a calm, people-oriented temperament. By the time our puppy came home, they were already comfortable with everyday noises, new people, and handling, which made the transition incredibly smooth and set a strong foundation for therapy dog training. Health and ethics were clearly a priority: we received complete veterinary records, clear explanations about health testing, and thoughtful guidance on nutrition, training, and ongoing care. Our vet has been very impressed with our puppy’s condition, and overall well-being, which speaks to the quality of the program Future Hope Goldens is running. Most importantly, the temperament of our puppy is everything we hoped for—gentle, intuitive, eager to please, and wonderfully social with people of all ages. Neighbors and visitors have commented repeatedly on how sweet and steady this young Golden is, and these are exactly the qualities needed for future therapy work. Even after we brought our puppy home, Heather and Caris have remained responsive and supportive, checking in and welcoming updates and questions. It is clear they genuinely care about both their dogs and the families they go to, and for anyone in or willing to travel to Ohio who is looking for a Golden Retriever with outstanding health, temperament, and early socialization, Future Hope Goldens earns the highest recommendation.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
