I'm Misty D., the breeder behind G–/ Kennel located in Creston, IA. We’re proud of the healthy, affectionate, and behaviorally well-rounded puppies we raise for other families to love!   • Why did you start breeding?

    My father and I have spoken many times over the years about breeding poodles. It was after he retired, and our families moved to Iowa that we decided it was a great time to start a poodl family.
  • What makes your program special?

    I have to say that Poodles make my breeding programs special. Poodles are an amazing animals all in themselves. Exceptionally smart, personable, loyal, and very good companions. I do work “Puppy culture the first 12 weeks of my puppies future” into the rearing of my puppies.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include apricot, black, cream, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Misty

Misty has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $500 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
