I'm Sydney S., the breeder behind Gaia Goldens located in Woodstock, GA. We have high expectations for our puppies and seek to offer dogs that are gentle and loyal companions while also fit and intelligent, with the potential to excel in a variety of activities. Our primary goal for pet puppies is to ensure that each one is placed in an enriching and loving home!
Q. & A. with Sydney
Why did you start breeding?
I have owned and loved Golden Retrievers for about 25 years, after adopting my first Goldens (Sadie Mae and Cosmo) from people who could no longer care for them the way they deserved. After years of involvement with AKC dog sports as well as local and national clubs, we decided to breed (in limited fashion) so that we could contribute to this spectacular breed and build our own small program.
What makes your program special?
We will not produce a litter without keeping a puppy for ourselves and our program (including conformation and other sports). Pups that go to new families benefit from this approach in terms of structure, pedigree, health, and temperament. We've spent a great deal of time and effort learning about the breed and strive to offer the highest quality pups we can.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
