I'm Gretta C., the breeder behind GC Aussiedoodles located in Jefferson City, MO. I fell in love with Mini American Shepherds years ago with a very good family friend began breeding them. I often tried many times (joking mostly) to sneak a puppy home with me. I enjoy doing different things & knew that raising puppies for people to fall in love with was it for me. Doodles!

Why did you start breeding?
As a young girl I often helped a close family friend with her kennel. After cleaning poop (not the most fun part) I would sit for hours playing with puppies- snuggling and brushing their coats. I would hear the stories of how happy new families were with their new puppies. With my experience on the farm I knew I would be good at and REALLY enjoy having puppies to share with people.What makes your program special?
I like to do FaceTime/video conference with new puppy families to meet each other & you meet your puppy. I breed Mini American Shepherds (just like Australian Shepherds) as they are REALLY SMART and Mini Poodles because they are REALLY CUTE. Whatever the breed, it has to be done the right way. All of my dogs have been genetically tested & will have problem free puppies.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
