Meet the breeder

I'm Trish H., the breeder behind GC Goldens located in Snohomish County, WA. We are excited about our dogs and produce healthy, active, athletic puppies and adults with outstanding temperaments and beauty. We've had Goldens since 1980 and joined our local and national Golden clubs in 1993. We breed for temperament, health, longevity, and the breed standard. We are dedicated to our dog's health, development, well-being, and fun. We show in conformation, do therapy dog work, and plan to return to fieldwork, too!

Q. & A. with Trish

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our first Golden was born in 1980 and was a granddaughter of Sammy (Misty Morn's Sunset). We had intended to breed her but she didn't pass her hip clearance. I knew that I wanted to start showing but we waited until she passed. I was able to start our original line with a granddaughter of her great-great niece!
  • What makes your program special?

We follow the Avidog way of raising our puppies and our dogs. Our dogs have amazing temperaments and people often ask our owners where they got their dogs. We go above and beyond for our dogs and buyers and look for that extra commitment from our owners as well. Our families must interview in person with us and come to weekly group visits prior to the puppies going home.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
