Meet the breeder

I'm Sarah M., the breeder behind Gentle Giants of Tennessee Great Danes located in Cookeville, TN. Our pups are bred for health and temperament first and foremost. We strive to produce happy, healthy, well-rounded puppies that will be a great addition to any family. We health test our dogs to ensure perfect health before breeding.

Q. & A. with Sarah

  • Why did you start breeding?

My husband wanted a Dane. I thought her was absolutely crazy. Once we got her, I fell in love and decided I wanted the opportunity to share these amazing dogs with other families. There is no love like the love you get from a Great Dane.
  • What makes your program special?

Our pups are raised indoors with constant supervision for the first 3 weeks to ensure health and safety and to help mom when needed. After that, they become very well socialized, well rounded, and adjusted to normal household movement and sounds. They receive exceptional vet care. Our vet is also a great reference for us. We love meeting and being able to speak with our new families.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include harlequin, mantle, merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
