Why did you start breeding?
My journey with Weimaraners started from a deep love and respect for this incredible breed. Their loyalty, intelligence, affection, and ability to become true family companions inspired me to share that experience with others. I started breeding because I wanted to help families experience the same special bond that a Weimaraner can bring into a home. My goal has always been to raise healthy, happy puppies with great temperaments and give them the best possible start before they join their forever families. For me, this is not just about puppies—it’s about preserving the qualities that make Weimaraners so special and creating lifelong connections between these amazing dogs and the people who love them.What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is built on love, care, and a genuine passion for Weimaraners. We focus on raising puppies in a family environment where they receive daily attention, socialization, and the care they need to grow into confident, loving companions. We take pride in putting the health, temperament, and well-being of our dogs first. Each puppy is given a strong foundation before going to their forever home, and we stay committed to supporting our puppy families throughout their journey. Getting a puppy from Lydia
Lydia has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Lydia partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“Our puppy pricing reflects the care, time, and dedication that goes into raising each Weimaraner. The adoption fee includes the puppy’s early care, socialization, deworming, vaccinations, and veterinary health check before going to their new family. Our goal is to provide healthy, well-prepared puppies and ensure each one finds a loving forever home. A deposit is required to reserve your chosen Weimaraner puppy and secure your place in our reservation process. This helps us ensure serious commitments and allows us to properly plan for each puppy’s future home. The deposit will be applied toward the total adoption fee. We are dedicated to making the process smooth, transparent, and focused on finding each puppy a loving forever family.”

Parent health testing

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Hypomyelination, Weimaraner Type, Spinal Dysraphism (SD)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
