I'm Jay D., the breeder behind Georgia Bred Akita Bears located in Buford, GA. It is our goal to produce adorable, affectionate Akita puppies that are healthy, well-tempered, and make wonderful companions. We raise our dogs in our home right alongside our family. We love being able to match our puppies with families that are the perfect fit for their personalities.
Q. & A. with Jay
Why did you start breeding?
Jay decided to get into breeding once he discovered there were no local Akita breeders in his hometown of Michigan. Having to drive across the US to find his favorite dog breed pushed him to make adopting an Akita more easier for residents of his community.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in a kennel on my property.
