Meet the breeder

I'm Linda C., the breeder behind Gidget Cotons - ACC located in Oakhurst, CA. Our goal is to prepare each of our puppies with thoughtful socialization so they have the best foundation to transition into their new homes. We focus on education with our buyers, & answer as many questions as is necessary in order to ensure the home & family are ready for their new family member.

Q. & A. with Linda

  • Why did you start breeding?

We were introduced to the Coton breed through close personal friends who are also ethical breeders. It is through their mentoring that we learned how to care for these pups and how to protect the Coton de Tulear as a rare breed, the Royal Dog of Madagascar.
  • What makes your program special?

Bob and Linda thoroughly enjoy working together as a team in the breeding process. We are both very involved, and enjoy having the puppies in our home. We also have had very rewarding experiences with puppy buyers, and have met wonderful people in the process.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include tri-color, black and white, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

So very happy to have connected with Linda and found a wonderful breeder in California. She did timely and regular communication with me, even though she had to wait awhile for another person on her waitlist to get back to her which was the limiting factor. It worked out to meet up halfway between our home and hers, and Buttercup was adopted into our family. Early in the process, Linda took time to answer my questions and also had provided access to pictures and videos. We adopted a female champagne colored Coton at 6 weeks of age and could tell right away that Linda made sure she was socialized as much as possible. When we have the time and energy to add another Coton to our family, I would definitely want another Coton from Linda.

Linda was great. She answered my questions and provided many resources during our communications. Upon pick up of our puppy, Ziggy, my family and I saw that he was well cared for. He's such a sweet and caring pup.
