Golden Acre Puppies

Kathie C.

Breeder of Golden Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Kathie C., the breeder behind Golden Acre Puppies located in Dayville, CT. We are a family that adores our Golden Zoey-Jane. She is the best girl, and that is why we decided to breed her. Her litters live in our house until they go to their forever family, who then become part of our extended family, connected by one special girl, Zoey. Our dogs are bred to become family pets, and it gives us such joy to know they go to loving homes.

Q. & A. with Kathie

  • Why did you start breeding?

We got Zoey-Jane from a local Golden Retriever breeder in 2020. Her even temperament, curiosity, and ability to learn fast won us over immediately. We had many friends and family that expressed interest in her offspring, so after careful consideration, research and planning, we decided to give it a try. We are a responsible breeder and only breed with health cleared studs.
  • What makes your program special?

We are a small family that enjoys responsible breeding. Zoey is our family pet and when we breed her, it is in our home, where the puppies are born and raised by her until they go to their forever home. We have bonds with those who have purchased puppies from us and it brings us joy to see them go to a loving home just like ours.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
