I'm Rueben N., the breeder behind Golden family companion's located in Fredericksburg, OH. Our parents are health tested with OFA certifications! Our parents are all AKC registered! We’re dedicated to raising puppies in a family environment with children involved in socializing! Including Early Neurological Stimulation!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I grew up with goldens in our family growing up and my grandparents had goldens as well! I fell in love with the breed with their great temperaments and personality’s especially around children! And wanted our children to have the same experience and joys of raising puppies!

  • What makes your program special?

    Our puppies are family raised with children! Our puppies come with health guarantee! And we also go the extra step of Early Neurological Stimulation!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $2,300 - $3,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Ichthyosis, Golden Retriever Type, Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

    Rueben was so great to work with! We just had our new golden arrive last week and we couldn’t be happier. You can tell our new puppy came from such a loving home. He has adjusted perfectly, is great with kids, so loving and cuddly. We have only the best things to say about the process of buying our new puppy Milo. From the day we initially reached out to inquire, Rueben took the time to do a video call with us within 24 hours to meet the available puppies. Before receiving our new puppy, we received plenty of updates on how he was doing, vet visits and lots of pictures. He also helped us with the proper food to buy and overall prep for our new puppy. The deposit and final payment process was seamless and easy through Good Dog. We opted for the delivery service of our new puppy and it went so smoothly. The delivery company was in constant communication with us after picking up Milo and took such good care with him as he was transported multiple states to reach us.
