I'm Genevieve G., the breeder behind Golden Meadows of Utah located in Sandy, UT. Puppies are raised in a loving home with a family. We use Puppy Culture Curriculum ENS & ESI. Night crate training 6wks, potty training at 3wks. Third party canine psycology litter assessment. Monitored by a Reproductive Care Vet. Lifetime of free training and support for your puppy.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I first became interested in becoming a breeder about a year after we welcomed our Golden home. She is a Service Dog for our severely disabled and medically complex son. She is a very quick learner with a genuine interest in performing the tasks we needed. Her patience, tolerance, innate maternal instincts & desire to be at the center of it all has made her a very cherished member of our family.

    We breed EXCELLENT rated 100% Genetic & Cardio clear parents, OFA good/excellent hip/elbow scores w/ Pennhip tendon testing & CERF cleared annual eye exams. Our climate pledge is backed by renewable energy, we offer a low cost pediatric service dog program for children w/disabilities. Our third party canine psychology eval with temperament testing for puppies & parents giving forever homes the best

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Genevieve

Genevieve has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Genevieve partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $200 - $3,699.99 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Deposits reserve your picking number: like second male deposit equals second in line tp pick. Our picking commences when puppies are 6 weeks old. We run an open program and allow picking in person. We ask for a $300 deposit, it reserves your picking number placement like third or fifth. We do puppy picking after our third party canine psychology test is performed at 6 weeks.”

Genevieve may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia , Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI), Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

    I live part time in Park City Utah and my other home is Los Angeles California. This past summer I decided it was time to seek out a canine companion to accompany me on the frequent hiking I do in summer in the Wasatch mountains. Specifically I wanted a Golden Retriever. I could write an essay on how stunned and impressed I am by the baby I ultimately chose at just 2 weeks old or rather the baby who chose ME. I had to wait another month or so to bring my puppy home but it was worth every second of that wait. Chloe my little cream colored girl is the sweetest most loving animal I have ever encountered in my life. But most astonishing is how this baby flew to me with a flight nanny , was handed over to me in Burbank airport , and from that moment on has been so loving, so incredibly tuned in and intelligent , her innate empathy and ability to offer exactly what I need at any given moment has left me simply astounded. Today was our first full day together and she has literally understood all I wanted of her . Chloe is very playful yet not destructive in spite of boundless puppy energy .She is comfortable in her own skin. When it came time for bed my baby settled right in beside me and went to sleep. She needs t6 be house broken but what puppy doesn't.? I don't expect that to be a difficult issue at all. My Chloe is a dream dog in every sense of the word. I also want to mention how invested Genevieve is in her puppies. Every moment of her day is devoted to her current litters , she cares so deeply for them and it became increasingly apparent as I visited my puppy prior to taking ownership just how meticulous she is about producing ,caring for and offering the best puppies out there . In a world where so many innocent puppies are little more than a financial endeavor , Golden Meadows of Utah stands out as a true labor of love. 5 stars all the way . I could not be happier with my beautiful ,sweet and gentle girl. Thank you so much Genevieve for the work and love you invest in breeding these beautiful dogs .

    We are so very thankful to have had Genevieve & Good Dog to work with in the purchase of our 1 yr old Nala. Genevieve was so helpful with the transition process. She answered all our questions and provided all the health records for our little girl. She sent us home with a Tote Bag full of her dog food, treats, chews, chew toys, fun toys, harness, etc. That was very generous of her. She took pictures of us & Nala and said her goodbyes.     Genevieve is such a nice, amazing person to work with. I applied for a retriever for my daughter but she helped match my daughter up with another dog she had that wasn't even posted yet that matches much more to our girls personality. Which is definitely something to look for when choosing a breeder, a breeder that does not send any pet home to someone to just make money, but to help you find the right fit to help make it a forever home. We have not had dogs in years, so we definitely have a lot of questions which she is more than happy to answer pretty quick and give great advice. She even made a training video for me to help get the big girl in the car. I love that she is there for you after adoption to help with advice and training. It was extremely helpful giving a tote of toys she loves and snacks. Definitely recommend her if you are looking for a pure bred Golden Retriever.

    Genevieve is an excellent breeder and goes to great lengths to ensure her puppies are of the highest caliber in health and temperament. She is so deeply passionate about the breed, and cares for her puppies with the highest degree of attention and love. She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to training, behavior, and health of the dogs-- and makes herself available from your initial contact with her, throughout the rest of your dog's life.
