Q. & A. with Sara
Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding golden retrievers after working in cancer care for animals in the internal medicine department. I chose golden retrievers to try and breed the healthiest golden retrievers that I could to help improve the breed. I focus on the pedigrees of each dog used in my breeding program to ensure that the lines are as healthy as possible.
What makes your program special?
I hold myself to a high standard when it comes to my dogs and my policies. I am thorough in health testing and caring for my dogs, and I make sure each puppy gets the proper group and individual care that it needs to thrive. My goal is to ensure that every dog that comes from my program is set up to live a happy and healthy life and is prepared for its future role when it leaves my care.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
