Meet the breeder

I'm Tammy V., the breeder behind Golden Paws of Hope located in Owatonna, MN. Our playful, affectionate golden retriever puppies are ready to find their forever homes! They are friendly, healthy, and well-socialized, with the classic golden personality—loving, loyal, and full of joy. Whether they’re cuddling up for snuggles or bouncing around they will be a perfect fit.

Q. & A. with Tammy

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding golden retrievers because I’ve always loved the breed and the qualities that make them so special. Goldens are mellow, loyal, and endlessly loving, which makes them not just wonderful family pets but true companions. After living with them and experiencing their gentle nature firsthand, I wanted to share that joy with others by raising healthy, well-socialized animals.
  • What makes your program special?

We start them out by doing different exercises so they don’t get afraid of being picked up. I worked with different trainers to help training the pups at an early age.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
