I'm Golden P., the breeder behind Golden Peak Retrievers located in San Luis Obispo County, CA. We love this breed and the experience of having litters! Our mission is to raise pups that are set to become the best companions. We are professional, responsible, and ethical dog breeders who love our dogs as part of our family. I pour my heart and soul into each and every litter.

Why did you start breeding?
I have wanted to start my breeding program for quite some time. My children are now at an age where I can put in the time needed to be a successful, thoughtful and ethical breeder.What makes your program special?
I am raising my litters as if they were all my own. I put a lot of time, love and hard work into raising puppies. I sleep in the room with the mom and puppies for the first 3 weeks and give an abundance of love and attention to each puppy. I start ENS with the puppies a couple of days after birth. My dogs and their chosen mates are all DNA tested for diseases and OFA tested. They are born and raised inside my home.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are dark golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

“This includes the guarantee, their first round of vaccinations, deworming, and socialization. Raised with love. Limited AKC registration. All of our puppies are the same price. Your deposit will guarantee a puppy. Puppies will be chosen in order of deposit.”

Hip Dysplasia , Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI), Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
