I'm Sandra B., the breeder behind Golden Puppy Dog located in Aliso Viejo, CA. Our puppies are raised in a loving family home. We've been breeding since 1992 and provide healthy, beautiful pups to great homes. These puppies are bred for the best personalities and bloodlines with a focus on health. They are socialized well with people and other animals and are full of love and loyalty for their families. Goldens make excellent service dogs due to their sweet, affectionate nature and keen intelligence.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I began breeding German Shepherds in 1992. After my husband's death, we moved from Vegas to California. I was so lonely without my Shepherds. I decided to try Golden Retriever's since I'd had one as a child and loved him. They're the most loving, intelligent dogs. They make me smile every morning and are such good friends. I enjoy everything about the breeding process and find joy placing pups into homes.

  • What makes your program special?

    Dedication and attention to the needs of the dog, puppy, and puppy parents are what make my program special. I try very hard to give them the strongest start possible for a happy balanced life. I follow up with my puppy parents and make sure they get the right information to raise their new puppy into the wonderful, loving, healthy dog they should be. My love for these dogs shines through in every aspect of my breeding program.

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

    Sandra made sure we had the paperwork for our new puppy as well as last minute instructions. AND a swag bag with food and toys. So far the pee pad training has paid off and thankfully the new baby seems to understand where to do her business. So far so good.

    Sandy and Golden Puppy Dog were very helpful throughout the process. She sent photos and videos of our adorable puppy before we came to get him. She was very responsive to messages and helpful before and after we picked him up. The package of supplies and info she sent us home with was also very helpful, including all his paperwork as well as food, treats, toys, and a few essential supplies. Our puppy is very sweet and healthy and had already started some potty training, which was helpful. I highly recommend Sandy as a breeder who truly cares about all her dogs.
