In her daily life, she maintains the perfect balance, adeptly adjusting her energy levels according to her surroundings. Caramel enjoys playtime with all our other animals and exhibits a profound affection for our children, all while remaining vigilant in her role as a guardian, even during moments of play. In evaluations of both station and movement, her constitution is strong, and her expression is lively and dignified. Structurally, she displays normal proportions and substantial features. Her bones are medium-strength and lean, complemented by well-developed muscles. The integrity of her ligaments is commendable in both the front and rear, and her back is firm with proper elbow alignment. The pasterns are also robust, and her front legs are straight. She has such a gentle presence with everything she does. We are so proud of not just her bloodlines but her accomplishments as well. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Brucellosis, Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Profile, Full Embark Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Absolutely loved working with the owner of Golden Ridge. The puppy I got from her has a fantastic personality and health. I loved the fact she made sure to get an idea of our life style and then matched us with the best puppy possible for what we needed. She’s very responsive and you can definitely tell she loves all her dogs including the puppies. Additionally she makes sure to only breed dogs that have been cleared of any health problems so you shouldn't have to worry about any genetic problems, I would definitely recommend Golden Ridge if you are looking for a German shepherd.
