Meet the breeder

I'm Allison R., the breeder behind Golden Wiggle Retrievers located in El Dorado Hills, CA. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and intelligence. We strive to produce the best overall pets and family members. We fell in love with the breed because of their intelligence and personality. There’s hardly a better feeling than being able to share them with other families that will love them the way that we do!

Q. & A. with Allison

  • Why did you start breeding?

After many years of raising children, I knew I wanted to start breeding the breed that I love the most. After grieving the loss of my soul dog Wayne for many years, it was time to get another golden. Thats when I purchased Olive durning COVID. She is the most wonderful dog and I knew it was time. After researching how to ethically breed dogs and do all of the proper health testing per the GRCA COE. I decided to get another dog Brandy who I decided was the girl I wanted to breed. After purchasing Brandy I also purchased Hank in hopes he would pass all of his genetic and OFA's. I am pleased that he has passed all.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are an important part of my family. They live with us indoors and are our pets first and foremost. We are active with all 3 of them, we love to take them dock diving, all 3 are titled. I work with them daily, I train them weekly, they are all CGC, CGCA ,CGCU, TKN and DM. I want to prove that they are well rounded pets that have also gone on to do first responder therapy work and now training for service work. They go every where with me. I will continue training them in sport and wherever I feel would most benefit them.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are dark golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
