Q. & A. with Steven and Frieda

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started breeding at age 17. I adopted a puppy from my older brother at the age of 15 and had my first litter at age 17! I was always passionate about corgis and am very dedicated to bettering the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

We focus on temperament, conformation, breed standards, and socialization. Our puppies all come with a 3-year genetic health guarantee, and to this day we have not had one return due to health issues! We utilize crate training on our puppies, and they are usually decently started on potty training as well.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include fawn, red, sable, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Steven and Frieda were absolutely amazing throughout the entire process, they are both very knowledgeable about Pembroke Welsh Corgis, and it shows through the Puppies and the Parents. After Diasy picked my wife Sandy and I out in December we bought her home at the beginning of January, it was such an easy transition for Daisy due to the preparation Steven and Frieda had done with her, and the amazing package we left with to help Saisy settle in to her new home. Daisy is an amazing, loving, and at times mischievous bundle of joy and we are so lucky to have her. Daisy has just had her 2nd round of shots at our vets, who is extremely happy with her health and temperament, again testament to the great start in life she was given. I would highly recommend Goldstar Corgis to anyone.

Steven and Frieda were wonderful to work with. You can immediately see how much they care about their dogs and that they have a happy, clean, professional setup for their dogs and the puppies. I’m so happy we discovered them on GoodDog and were able to find our sweet girl Nori (Blossom) and bring her home to us. 🐾🩷 We love her so much!!! Thank you for everything Steven and Frieda! And for giving her a great start to life with training, socialization, and potty training. And for all the photo updates along the way! I’d definitely recommend Steven and Frieda to anyone looking for a beautiful corgi puppy. They certainly get a “gold star”. ⭐️🐾💛

It was great working with Steven and Frieda. Their dogs are beautiful and have wonderful dispositions. We picked up our Barney a couple days ago and he has adjusted beautifully. He is everything a pup should be, playful, snuggly, curious and calm. Steven and Frieda clearly raise thier dogs with families in mind, integrating them into thier own lovely family to prepare them for yours. They were gracious and welcoming on our visits, and we could not be happier with our new little pup!

Steven and Frieda were great to work with. I did a lot of research trying to find a good breeder and ultimately decided to go with them. They really care about all their pups and are very knowledgeable about the breed. I brought my sweet Maple (Biscuit) home recently and she has been doing excellent. She has a great demeanor and is very easy to train. When I picked her up, she was also already fully crate trained and almost entirely potty trained. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for their own little furry addition!

Our family of 6 had such a positive and enjoyable experience working with Steven and Frieda! Clear, honest communication was shared daily as well as weekly updates/photos of our new sweet pup before we brought him home! They are highly knowledgeable about the Corgi breed with years of experience! The amount of training and love that our puppy received before we brought him home truly led to an incredibly smooth transition once he joined our family! Our Benji was fully crate trained as well as almost 100% potty trained as well! The care and support our puppy received from this beautiful family showed from the first visit to their home! Our family highly recommends GoldStar Corgis to anyone looking for a new, healthy, Corgi pup to join their family! Thank you, Steven and Frieda! You are both such a blessing to our family! Benji sends your family big hugs and licks! 💙🙏🏻

Steven and Frieda were a joy to work with. They allowed us to meet the puppies, kept sending us photos and consistent communication until the day we picked him up. They also helped us with crate training and by the time our little guy came home, he was already set. We would highly recommend them for anyone looking for an honest, good quality breeder.
