Breeder of Beagles

Meet the breeder

I'm Sandra G., the breeder behind Good Dog located in Rosamond, CA.

Q. & A. with Sandra

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started my dog journey by purchasing a show prospect from the top US Beagle breeder. They trusted me with a bitch out of their top winning dog. Throughout the years, we became very good friends and they became my breed mentors. Dr. Judith Musladin, was the founder of the Health Committee of the National Beagle Club. She introduced me to the importance of health testing & clearances and thus began my involvement in Beagle health issues. In 1998, Dr's. Judith & Anton Musladin, bestowed their world renowned kennel, the Whim to me. I bred my first litter in 2000.
  • What makes your program special?

I have been preserving old bloodlines/ pedigrees of top winning Beagle exemplary of top quality and breed standard & type. I have banked frozen semen and ovaries on over 20 Beagles, from various kennels, some dogs dating back to the 1980s. My most recent litter was produced from 20 yr old frozen semen of a Whim dog resulting in 4 puppies, 1d & 3b.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include 13-inch and 15-inch sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
