I'm Jeannie C., the breeder behind Good Life Goldens, LLC located in Lake Toxaway, NC. I have been a dog lover since childhood and have handled them professionally for over 30 years. In the mid-seventies I showed American Cocker Spaniels which were wonderful pets, and three became AKC champions. It made me realize the importance of proper breeding.
Q. & A. with Jeannie
Why did you start breeding?
I started out by showing Cocker Spaniels. This led me to realize my passion for showing quality dogs. I wanted to do my part to better the breed and raise beautiful dogs.
What makes your program special?
I research extensively prior to breeding. My main concern is health/longevity. I usually breed to somewhat older males with a history of siring healthy pups. My boy Duff (born Sept 2014) is Can GCH/AmGCHS Goodlife’s Duff the Magic Dragon DS, BN, SDHF. He’s the stud I use most frequently and normally have two litters a yr. All our pups are raised in the house and our four adults are Therapy Dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
