Today was temperament testing day! 🐾 This is sweet Fleur working with Kristin during her independent temperament evaluation. At 6 weeks old, each puppy is evaluated individually to give us another look at who they are beyond their adorable faces. Fleur showed herself to be sweet, social, attentive and cooperative, with very low reactivity and wonderful eye contact. She handled the evaluation beautifully and simply needs a little extra time to process unfamiliar situations before moving forward with confidence. 🌸

🐾 4-Week Puppy Update 🐾 The puppies are growing so quickly, and we’ve reached another exciting milestone! Today is their second day of eating solid food, and they are doing an amazing job. They are enjoying a carefully prepared meal of pawTree Salmon Recipe kibble, soaked in beef broth until soft, mixed with human-grade raw beef (80% muscle meat, 10% organ, and 10% bone). They’re eagerly learning to eat on their own, and it’s been so much fun watching each puppy gain confidence at mealtime. This week has been full of firsts! Their tiny baby teeth are beginning to emerge, they’ve had their first outdoor adventures, and they’re becoming more curious and interactive every day. Their personalities are blossoming, and we’re seeing each puppy’s unique temperament begin to shine. Each puppy has also completed their individual DNA testing, and we’re eagerly awaiting those results. Once available, we’ll have even more information about each puppy’s genetics, expected adult size, coat traits, and other inherited characteristics to share with their future families. As always, our puppies are being raised right in our home with daily love, gentle handling, and age-appropriate enrichment. Every experience is designed to help them grow into confident, well-socialized companions who are ready for a lifetime with their new families. We can’t wait to continue sharing their journey with you as they grow toward their August 25 go-home day! 🐾❤️

One of our favorite confidence-building exercises: the disc swing. It looks like play (because it is), but there’s a bigger purpose behind it. This gentle, controlled movement helps puppies learn how their bodies move through space. By introducing motion early — in a safe, positive way — we’re helping their brains and inner ears develop balance and coordination. That translates directly to smoother transitions later… including car rides with less stress and less motion sickness. Instead of their first big car trip being a shock, their nervous system already says, “Oh, I know this feeling.” Calmer puppies. Happier families. Fewer laundry emergencies on the drive home 😉 This is just one small piece of how we intentionally raise confident, adaptable pups from the very beginning.

Balancing toys are great For the puppies to play on because it helps with car sickness in puppies. If they learn how to balance themselves, they won’t get carsick.

✨ Sensory play in session! We’ve added hanging dangle toys right in the middle of the pen—so the puppies learn to look up, brush against things, and get used to squeaky surprises and silly sounds. Nothing phases them! They explore for about 20 minutes… then it always ends the same way: one big cozy puppy pile. 🐾💤
