Meet the breeder

I'm Valerie S., the breeder behind GR8 Goldens located in Pueblo, CO. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and intelligence. They have been through obedience training and a part of our family and live in our home. I’m not a commercial breeder. Our dogs are Embark DNA tested as well as OFA CHIC certified. We strive to produce the best overall pets and family members. Our puppies go through ENS, early scent introduction, Volhard puppy aptitude testing, and desensitizations. They’re a daily part of everything we do until they’re ready to join their forever families.

Q. & A. with Valerie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I’ve had past litters, but starting breeding Golden Retrievers after hearing my, now retired, stud was so handsome by dog trainers and show judges.
  • What makes your program special?

We are small and give the puppies a lot of attention and care. We go above all expectations and have over 60 happy puppy buyers. We keep in touch with all past buyers of our puppies. We don’t have any unhappy buyers.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
