Q. & A. with Mike
Why did you start breeding?
After dedicating decades to breeding and training dogs, a seasoned individual was ready to retire. They sought out someone to entrust their wealth of knowledge to, and they deemed us as the perfect candidates for the task. We have been happily raisng puppies ever since!
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are perfect companions for families. From the get-go, our puppies are immersed in a world of interaction with my own children and the bustling energy of about 35 nieces and nephews. They're wonderfully accustomed to the presence of kids, the hustle and bustle of family life, various noises, and the great outdoors. Plus, they're incredibly adaptable—whether they're raised on a sprawling farm or in the cozy confines of an apartment, they thrive wherever they're loved.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Mike made working with a breeder directly so easy! It was our first time going through a breeder and Mike made the steps easy as pie! We brought Buk home just last night but we love him so much already! We can’t wait for him to settle in and be right at home.

I have never worked with a breeder before so I was pretty hesitant at first but Mike made the entire process so easy! He was very knowledgeable, responsive, and provided consistent updates with pictures so we could see our little man grow during his first 8 weeks. We have had him for just under a month and he is the sweetest boy! We are so lucky to have him in our family

This was my first time going to a breeder for myself. Mike was helpful in answering all of my questions. He was always available, and continues to be. You can tell that they really care for their dogs, and our puppy came to us happy, healthy, and well socialized. She’s 7 months old now, and she’s smart, fun-loving, and has the sweetest temperament. She’s everything a Golden should be.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
