Meet the breeder

I'm Daniel M., the breeder behind Grayling Dawn Cane Corso located in Olympia, WA. We have been breeding for many years and strive to product quality well balanced Cane Corso with the correct temperaments. Many fad breeders are popping up all over the Pacific Northwest that are just throwing any two dogs together without evaluating health, temperament, and structure. Buying from a reputable breeder that knows the breed is instrumental with a guardian breed. We are well know in our breed for providing quality dogs but additionally supporting our clients after the purchase.

Q. & A. with Daniel

  • Why did you start breeding?

I loved the breed initially just based off looks and I did what most people do, I went out and bought the 1st dog I found. After I owned a Corso I knew I would never own another type of dog again and I dove into the breed full steam. I obtained a few more pet dogs over the years and as my love for the breed grew I decided to start showing my dogs in AKC events. After doing this I realized I hadn't purchased the best possible dogs I could have and so I reached out to some of the top breeders in my area and obtained a few more dogs. I continued showing and eventually decided to try my hand at breeding, I jumped in with both feet and purchased a new property to start creating the best kennel I could for my dogs, here we are years later producing quality dogs and enjoying our hobby very much.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include gray and fawn, chestnut brindle, black, black brindle, fawn, gray, gray brindle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
