I'm Cynthia D., the breeder behind Great Alaskan Danes located in Soldotna, AK. Our goal is to preserve the classic Great Dane breed according to the written standards. We put a lot into conformation while understanding health and temperament are most important. We thoroughly health test all of our dogs and follow the health of their offspring. Our puppies are raised in our home with lots of early sensory stimulation and socialization. We raise healthy confident and outgoing dogs that are happy participating in many sports as well as snuggling up on the sofa with you.
Q. & A. with Cynthia
Why did you start breeding?
We wanted to preserve the classic Great Dane as described in the standard. We carefully evaluate appearance and structure, keeping health and temperament as our primary goals. All dogs are fully health tested and participate in the CHIC program.
What makes your program special?
We have studied Puppy Culture and are members of Avidog Breeder College. Our puppies' mental development is a primary consideration from before we breed, to how we treat our pregnant dam, to early sensory stimulation beginning at just 3 days old and more!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brindle and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
